Pool renovation and waterproofing in Jávea

Jávea has a large stock of villas built decades ago, usually with a block built pool finished in gresite mosaic tiles. It was a sound choice at the time, but after thirty or forty years of sun, chlorine and movement in the structure it simply wears out.

The signs are familiar: tiles lifting at the waterline, grout going powdery, a water level dropping faster than evaporation can explain. Patch repairs buy you a little time, because the cause sits in the whole finish layer rather than in one spot.

A polyurea coating replaces that entire layer with one closed, flexible skin. The pool keeps its shape and its dimensions, you get no grout lines back to scrub, and the layer moves with the structure as it works.

On the Montgó side, many houses sit on tosca rock with terraces that open straight off the living space. Fierce sun, heavy autumn downpours and a solid substrate together make rigid waterproofing vulnerable.

Polyurea goes on as a single layer across the surface, over corners and upstands as well, and bridges hairline cracks instead of passing them on to the finish.
