Pool renovation and waterproofing in Dénia
Seamless polyurea for pools, terraces and flat roofs in Dénia, Las Rotas and the north side of the Montgó.
Pools on the north side of the Montgó
Dénia combines long sandy beaches north of the harbour with the rocky shoreline of Las Rotas. On that rocky side a lot of houses stand close to the water, with salt spray drifting across the terrace and the pool day in, day out.
Salt is merciless on finishes: it works its way into pores and grout lines and slowly loosens everything from within. In pools you see it in grout eaten away and tiles losing their grip, usually at the waterline first.
Polyurea stands up to salt water and chlorine and forms one closed layer with no joints at all. That takes the most vulnerable part of a traditional tiled pool out of the equation.
Terraces and roofs in and around town
Dénia itself has plenty of apartments and townhouses with a flat roof or roof terrace. They get used hard, and when the autumn storms arrive they have to cope with a great deal of water in a short space of time.
A polyurea layer runs seamlessly up into the upstands and around the drains, exactly the places where leaks tend to start. Once cured, the surface is ready to use again quickly.
